     PORT ANGELES - The Peninsula Pirates clinched their second straight West Division women's soccer championship Wednesday with a 4-0 win over Lower Columbia at Sigmar Field.

     PORT ANGELES – The Pirates, who defeated Highline 3-1 on Saturday, can clinch their second straight West Division championship Wednesday when they host Lower Columbia.

     PORT ANGELES - The Peninsula women, who this week were ranked No. 15 in the nation and have been No. 1 in the NWAACC much of the season, picked up some distance on second place Bellevue with a 2-0 win Wednesday, but still may need three wins, or another Bulldog loss, to clinch the West.

     PORT ANGELES – The Pirate women entered the NSCAA Junior College Division I National Top 20 Poll in the 15th position, marking the first time in school history that a Peninsula College soccer team was nationally ranked.

PORT ANGELES - In a physical contest that sent three players to the Olympic Medical Center emergency room, the Pirates defeated Olympic 5-0 Wednesday in a rebound from their only loss of 2012.

 WALLA WALLA – The NWAACC’s only unbeaten women’s soccer team used both talent and depth to win won 12 straight games, but the Pirates weren’t quite deep enough to beat Walla Walla Saturday.

     PORT ANGELES – The top-ranked Peninsula College women fought off the third-ranked Spokane women 3-2, while the No. 1 Pirate men proved beyond doubt that the No. 7 Sasquatches aren’t real, winning 7-0 in a Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges soccer doubleheader Saturday.

PORT ANGELES – The Peninsula College women’s and men’s soccer teams, both ranked No. 1 in the Northwest Athletic Association of Community College’s Alaska Airlines Coaches Poll, and both posting wins on Wednesday, face a showdown with powerhouse Spokane Saturday at Sigmar Field.

In just the second year of women’s soccer at Peninsula College, head coach Kanyon Anderson took his Pirates all the way to the NWAACC championship game before settling for second place.
