Peninsula College launched esports in the Fall of 2019 under the leadership of head coach Charlie Morrow, who has over a decade of experience in esports as both a player, tournament organizer, and advocate for mental skills training. The Pirate Esports Team plans to offer Overwatch, League of Legends, Rocket League, and Super Smash Brothers Ultimate in 2020-21. We are also interested in running Fortnite and Rainbow 6 Siege. Also for the 2020-2021 school year, we plan to participate in the National Junior College Athletic Association’s Esports circuit (NJCAAE) and face off against many other junior colleges across the country. The Esports team also plans to engage and nurture gaming skills in the community through mentorship, community service, and summer clinics. Watch games on Twitch.
